A house close to nature :
It was designed by Marc Mesnier, an electrician specialized in renewable
energies. As a result,
it is not connected to the countrys power network, but simply depends on
solar panels, a windmill
and one hydroelectric microturbine.
The walls are made of larch logs. The house is insulated with hemp and wool and the
partition walls
are covered with wood pulp
Adopting simple but often forgotten habits - switching off lights when leaving a
room, not leaving a TV
or a VCR plugged in standby mode are usually enough to avoid using the
generator too often,
while enjoying great comfort.
